This 0.5 µL 7000 series syringe comes with the Neuros Adapter already installed. The syringe has a 32 gauge needle with a blunt point and an adjustable exposure length from 0-20 mm. The 7000 series syringe uses a Modified Microliter plunger which is a tungsten wire that extends the entire length of the needle all the way to the tip, resulting in zero dead volume. This unique design also means if the needle is damaged it cannot be repaired or replaced. The syringe also comes with two adjustable needle sleeves, one with a blind stop and one without. The sleeve with a stop is designed for applications where it is desirable to limit the penetration depth of the needle, as is the case with a cannulated animal. The sleeve without a stop supports the needle but does not obstruct the view of the injection target which is ideal for microsurgeries using a stereotaxic holder.
